About My Work

Accessing personal history, memory and a passionate concern for the universal human condition, Engelman's paintings and mixed-media work express the full range of human experience, from joyful aspiration to a powerful calll to action. Her art has been presented by the World Court at The Hague, the Salon des Artistes Independants at the Grand Palais in Paris, The Biennale Internazionale dell' Arte Contemporanea di Firenze (where she was awarded the Lorenzo di Medici "Il Magnifico" Gold Medal) and at Art Basel Miami, among other prestigious locales and exhibits and awards.

Engelman's painterly technique, and masterful mystical vision has been featured at over twenty solo exhibits and she has been selected to participate in more than thirty group shows. Her artwork, both paintings on canvas and inspirational sculptural installations, can be found in private collection across the U.S and overseas, as well as in the collections of various museums, galleries and public institutions.
